One Tree Planted

We care deeply about the planet and giving back to nature. That's why we're partnering with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every item sold through our website. Why trees? Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. For more information, please visit onetreeplanted.org

Our Containers

Your ease-of-use and the environmental impact of our packaging are of equal importance when we make packaging decisions. For these reasons, we went old-school with our packaging and chose glass bottles, aluminum bottles, and metal tins. Our glass bottles and metal containers are reusable and recyclable. We encourage you to find uses for these terrific little containers but rest assured that glass and metal are widely accepted in recycling programs. In fact, glass and metal can be recycled endlessly with no loss of purity or quality.

Our Shipping Materials

Our cardboard mailer boxes, mailing envelopes, and inserts are recycled kraft paper and our product labels are also paper. Our shipping labels have a recycle-friendly adhesive which makes for easy recycling. Plus, all of our shipping materials are backyard compostable, but can also be recycled. We have also made sure that our packaging tape can be recycled or composted. Our packaging tape and printed tissue are sourced from a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forest and supply chain that is responsibly and sustainably managed. The tape is made from 100% recycled content and is water-activated, meaning that the surface isn’t coated in wax. Another feature of our packing tape and tissue is the use of soy ink which reduces air pollution during the printing process.

All of our products are also available in completely plastic-free packaging. If you choose to purchase a product with a recyclable plastic sprayer or recyclable plastic and glass serum dropper, please consider our plastic-free refills when you are ready to restock. We’ve thoughtfully considered the packaging available to us. We know that there are ways for us to improve and we are always seeking ways to do so. We strive to find the most sustainable options so that you can engage in self-care without worry.
As individuals, we alone cannot reverse the past 70 years of plastic pollution. Each of us, however, can help evoke change by echoing the need for solutions through our everyday choices and actions.-Ocean Conservancy
